Shawn and Gus are back at Le Litière after deciding to use it as a headquarters to solve Tileback's mysterious death. Lassiter wakes up in the middle of the night with Morrissey lying on top of him. He tells Morrissey that he is afraid he will become a burden to Marlowe and Lily, as the SBPD will probably retire him and he might never even be able to walk again.
That's why we've added a new "Diverse Representations" section to our reviews that will be rolling out on an ongoing basis. It doesn't matter where you watch Psych, whether it's online or on DVD, or even reruns on TV, it's always loads of fun. One of the items on Lassiter's list of errands says "tap class?" in reference to Lassiter's tap dance lessons in S5E2 "Feet Don't Kill Me Now". Another item says "eliminate hippies", which is a call-back to his outspoken resentment towards hippies in S6E8 "The Tao of Gus". Another says "S.E.I.Z.E.", a reference to Shawn's nonsensical acronym in S8E2 "S.E.I.Z.E. the Day".

Lassiter's nurse, Dolores O'Riordan , comes in and asks to speak to Shawn and Gus privately. She reveals that she knows the duo have other motives in visiting Lassiter, and they admit that Lassiter has told them about mysterious goings-on at the home and wants them to investigate. Although she feels very attracted to Gus, Dolores says that it is only natural for someone in Lassiter's drugged-up state to be seeing things and orders the duo not to feed into his fantasies. In a vintage Psych-style Hitchcockian nod, Lassie begins to see impossible happenings around his recovery clinic. Also set to reprise their roles from the series and films are Maggie Lawson as Juliet O’Hara, Timothy Omundson as Carlton Lassiter, Kirsten Nelson as Karen Vick and Corbin Bernsen as Henry Spencer. It's even rarer still that shows get to come back again, and again, and yet again in the form of one movie after another.
Selene interrupts revealing to everyone that the pregnancy test was hers, not Juliet's. She says she has been trying to get in touch with Gus for two days now. Gus faints now realizing he is the one going to be a father. Selene being right next to Per, turns and hits him in the face.
Top cast
Lassiter sees the hallucination of his father right after seeing it. The next day, Lassiter recounts what he witnessed to Shawn and Gus. They have doubts about what Lassiter claimed to see but agree to check out the stables. Shawn and Gus beat Juliet home and frantically try to prepare for the special dinner with Gus spreading rose petals on the floor while Shawn prepares a dinner comprised of popcorn, pretzels, and jelly beans.
Young Lassiter reaches to open his water bottle only to look up and see his father is gone. With both Shawn and Gus romantically attached at this stage of their lives, the focus shifts from the pursuit of love to the maintenance of their respective relationships. For much of this story, that necessitates deceiving their partners about their whereabouts and their involvement on Lassiter’s case. Psych 2 is a must-see for fans of the show and proves that the passage of time can do little to diminish the appeal of truly excellent characters and exceptional writing. I saw an interview with Omundson and the movie appears to be specifically looking at the struggles he has had to go through. Lassiter hands down has the best subplot and journey in what is a poignant look at the man at his lowest. I know that I complained about the character nods in the last film, but you'd think you'd see at least some of his family members hanging around while he is recuperating in a hospital. Henry and Juliet are helping Lassiter pack up to leave while complimenting him on his recent arrest. Lassiter expresses his gratitude to both of them as well as his apprehension at seeing his wife, Marlowe, who he hadn't seen due to not wanting her to see him in his condition. Juliet pushes Lassiter in his wheelchair out of his room and Marlowe appears at the end of the hallway.
She wants to file a missing-persons report for Gus because he hasn't answered his phone or appeared at work in a while, but Juliet tells her that he is safe and sound in Santa Barbara together with Shawn. However, Selene suspects he's hiding something from her and becomes upset when Juliet accidentally lets it slip that Dolores has a little crush on him. Juliet then discovers that Kessler had contradicted his own alibi in his confession and leaves the office, telling Selene she has to go to Santa Barbara to have Kessler recant his confession. She shows him the photo of one Reese Kessler , who was picked up by the SBPD for Lassiter's shooting and made a full confession. Even though Lassiter insists Juliet stop jeopardizing her career by investigating a case out of her jurisdiction, she refuses to abandon the pursuit. Shawn and Gus visit Lassiter once more later in the day, telling him that he's imagining things and that they feel uncomfortable with keeping their investigation a secret from Juliet and Selene.

Wilkerson admits that he has been able to function more or less normally for quite a while but decided to hide it for his own protection. He also says the patients at the home are somehow fed psychotropes, which causes them to hallucinate and confess their secrets more readily. Shawn remembers his and Gus's accidental confessions to Herschel in the stables and realizes the psychotropes are inside of the ice chips. He also realizes that Wilkerson and Tileback were in business together, and Gus understands that this must mean Wilkerson is the silent partner. Wilkerson reveals that he and Tileback had an IPO coming up and had to cover up their cooking of the books.
Shawn and Gus have been trying to find Morrissey for an hour when Shawn receives a call from Juliet. She conveys her disappointment in him, and Shawn feels genuinely sorry. However, Juliet then tells a lie of her own by claiming to be stuck at the airport when she is really at the scene of Lassiter's shooting.
Shawn asks Ova about a suspicious looking man at the bar who Ova identifies as his son, Per. Gus and Per are using urinals next to each other when Gus' phone starts to ring. He has trouble answering it due to downloading an app that put multiple viruses on his phone. This is also why Gus has not been able to answer Selene's calls. While trying to answer it, he accidentally takes a picture of Per's penis twice.
He got panic attacks from the stress of hiding it and suffered a stroke. He was brought to the Herschel House, where he admitted the crime to Dr. Herschel under the influence of the psychotropes. Some days later, the silhouetted man that would go on to shoot Lassiter went to Tileback's office and blackmailed him.
Another says "find lauren", which probably refers to Lassiter's sister Lauren. The full list is available in the film's IMDb trivia section. Gus says that his cousin "partnered with Greg Grunberg on an app called 'Jamaica Me Alla Way'." Greg Grunberg appeared as Jay Gianukos in S6E12 "Shawn and the Real Girl" and is one of the creators of the Yowza!! Android and iPhone application, a GPS-aware coupon-referring program.
Instead of committing suicide, Lassiter allows her to poison his drip. He asks her why she would let herself be mixed up in Dr. Herschel's scheme, but she reveals that it was entirely her idea and Dr. Herschel knows nothing about it. Lassiter settles back for a painless death, but then his father appears in a hallucination once more. Lassiter tells him that he felt betrayed by him because he wasn't able to say goodbye as a result of his unexpected death during a routine bypass surgery.
