This room also features a shared spacious bathroom with beautiful brick accents. The responsibility of showcasing such an iconic property is in the capable hands of Ashley Ruprecht, Marketing Director for both the hotel and Butterfield, the restaurant housed in the main building of the Hasbrouck House. Following an early career in creative fields in New York City, first at MTV Networks and then at advertising stalwart Ogilvy & Mather, Ashley moved to the Hudson Valley full time in 2016. Along with her partner, she began running Laurel & Ash Farm, which produces limited batches of wood-fired Grade A maple syrup on a 50 acre-working family farm and forest nestled within a mountainside in Holmes, New York. After working with the hotel part-time, Ashley began running the marketing full time about two years ago.

Luxury Real Estate Prices Hit a Record High in the First Quarter, a New Report Says

Built-in 1757 as the country estate of the wealthy Hasbrouck family, this iconic stone mansion maintains its charm and continues to draw locals and visitors to the bucolic town of Stone Ridge three hundred years later. The former Stone Ridge Inn was purchased by co-owners Akiva Reich and Eitan Baron in 2015, who lovingly restored and transformed it into Hasbrouck House, a luxury boutique hotel that opened in summer 2016. Their goal was to keep the property’s rich history while modernizing the space for a complete luxury experience. The Hasbrouck House Heritage Suite is a two-bedroom suite on the 2nd floor of the main building. It features one bedroom with a queen size bed and a bedroom with a queen size daybed and fireplace facade.

Past the unassuming façade, the newly rebuilt Hancock Park estate is full of surprises.

Hop on the Trailways Bus and arrive into the small town of Phoenicia, where the house is just a 5 minute walk from Main Street. Walk into town for meals, or prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner in the beautiful kitchen and dining area. The trailhead for the Tanbark Trail is walkable from the house, as is the beautiful Esopus River for fishing, tubing, or just taking a cool-off dip.

He died in Ogdensburg on August 20, 1834, and he is buried in the Ogdensburg Cemetery in that locale. Eventually, Jonathan fell on hard times, and the house was put up for sale. Washington Irving wrote of his desire to preserve the house, and in 1839 a corporation composed of Newburgh residents was formed to buy the house and preserve it, but their charter lapsed before any real efforts could be accomplished. In 1848, Jonathan defaulted on the due interest payment, and the house was foreclosed and put up for sale, and Jonathan moved with his wife and son to New York City. As there were consequently no bidders, the Loan Commissioners took possession for the State of New York.

This suite also includes a separate private bedroom with a queen size bed. This Classic Suite is on the ground floor of the Carriage House, just behind the main building with it's own private entrance. It features a seating area for two, a King size bed, kitchenette with mini-fridge and large bathroom.

Layers of rich texture under beautiful statement light fixtures provide a cozy place to relax. Upstairs, the master bedroom opens out on to that expansive terrace and features a black marble encased shower and two huge walk-in closets with high-end Poliform glass-fronted wardrobes. Exquisite interior features include the oversize kitchen made-up of super-high-quality Italian Scavolini cabinets, glossy lacquered-wood walls and twin islands.

In 1802, Hasbrouck was elected to the 8th United States Congress to fill the resignation of John Cantine, serving from 1803 to 1805; he was elected to the 15th United States Congress in 1816, serving from 1817 to 1819. The Hasbrouck family was an early immigrant family to Ulster County, New York, and helped found New Paltz, New York. The Hasbrouck family were French Huguenots who fled persecution in France by moving to Germany,[citation needed] and then the United States. Two brothers, Jean II and Abraham, are the ancestors of almost all individuals in the United States with the last name "Hasbrouck," or some variation. Most New York State Parks charge a vehicle use fee to enter the facility. For fees not listed or to verify information, please contact the park directly.

Josiah Hasbrouck was born March 5, 1755, in New Paltz, the son of Jacob Hasbrouck Jr. and his wife, Jannetje DuBois Hasbrouck. His father served as a major in the American Revolutionary War and as the town supervisor of New Paltz (1762–1765, 1771–1776). Josiah would serve as supervisor of New Paltz as well, from 1784 to 1786, 1793 to 1794, and 1799 to 1805. In between his second and third terms, he served in the New York State Assembly from 1796 to 1797, and again in 1802 and 1806. After garnering enough support and continuing to grow their families, the Huguenots set out to find a desirable land that they could call their own.
